Big Girl Food!
Yeah, that's right...my girl's eating broccoli, swiss cheese, and whole wheat pasta. And loving it.
We think it's so fun to explore the whole new world of whole foods with the baby! She's eaten everything we've given her so far. It's awesome. And it gives me extra time to do other stuff in the kitchen while she's in her highchair...SCORE!

Slacker Blogger
Also, slacker picture uploader! I have new pictures on the camera, but have yet to upload. I'll do it tomorrow. I'm also gonna try and figure out how to upload video footage of the booger CRAWLING and PULLING UP! She's been mobile for 2 weeks now and it presents a whole new set of challenges! On the other hand, she sure is checking those milestones off the list one-by-one! We are proud.
I'm looking forward to the rest of 2009 sooooooo much. We are Pawleys bound next week for Thanksgiving with the Rickenbaker clan. It is always so much fun to spend time with the fam, fried turkey, super fattening casseroles, and my fave, the 7-layer caramel cake from Edenton. My mouth just watered.
The following weekend is our annual church retreat at Montreat. I am trying not to think too much about it until after the beach, though. With so many things to look forward to, it's hard to take it day-by-day!
This upcoming weekend is the charity crafts bazzar for Kathy's non-profit. I can't wait to see all the neat things that so many people have made with love and care for the aids orphans in Namibia.
All of the above warms my heart. Don't you just love cool/cold weather, babies, good food, the beach, the mountains, and wonderful family??????? Well, if you don't seek your nearest head doctor.
I miss you, Rachel!
Will post pics tomorrow!

6 months old, y'all.
I just can't believe it. It's already been 6 months since this angel baby was born. And every day I love her more and every day I think it's impossible to love her more.
She's sitting up all by herself. She even pulled up (with only one arm) yesterday. A whole new kinda baby emerges...one who's curious and super active. Huh. I guess that doesn't really make her any different than since she was in my belly. Well, she's exactly the same; curious and very active.
She's sleeping 10-11 hours at night now. Except for every OTHER night lately when she wakes up and screams for 5 to 45 minutes. That is getting old. How long will she continue to do this 'til she realizes we're not coming in there to mess with her? I thought she would have figured it out by now!
Anyway, I've been a little dumpy lately, but hopefully that's due to hormone imbalance. We'll see.
Someone stole my bike out of mama's garage. That stinks. She bought me a new one, and I like it. Thanks so much, mama!
Wish we could catch the thief and my old bike, though. Sherlock Howard??? Since, Mom & Dad put new garage doors on their house. Good call, guys!
Looks like we're getting a camo golf cart. It should be cool. The Howards will be cruising around the neighborhood in the EZ-go. Look out Burden household. You may have Howard visitors more often due to the golf-cart cool factor.
Mom got a beautiful new sapphire & diamond ring for her birthday (drool) and so she's letting me borrow and wear her oh-so-lovely diamond right-hander. "I feel pretty, oh so pretty..."
We went to Charleston this past weekend for a visit with Pop Row (Papa O) and Gamma. It was fun. They have this thing called the magic bullet and it makes a mean frozen margarita. I could have had one too many of those guys. Yum! O'Hara & I went out to eat supper and on a bike ride without Mare bear and that was fun. I tried to watch the Carolina game, but fell asleep in the 3rd quarter thinking we may have had a shot. I was wrong. Overall, though, it was a nice weekend.
Booger got her shots yesterday. Doc says she's 16lbs. 12 oz., 25 in. long. 65% in weight, 40% in height, 70% in head size. She's short & tubby with a big head (brains,) just like daddy! (He said it first.) I just call it perfection.

My iPhone
Well, I am updating this blog while in bed from my new, incredible iPhone. People. It is the best gadget
ever. No joke. It can do just about anything. I am so loving it.

Maren in the car
She's been spending a good bit of time in her carseat lately! We are headed back to Pawleys tomorrow for a big weekend with all of O'Hara's buddies. I think there will be around 17 people. Whoa! There will be a "quiet zone" on the top floor for Maren and Sam. Bopey's gonna come for Thurs. and Fri. nights, so that will good for me...to have someone else with a baby there who gets it.
I could hardly sleep last night thinking about all the people and food and laughter coming up!

A beautiful bride...
We went down to the beach for Bopey & Gene's wedding. It was wonderful. The weather couldn't have been better for an outdoor ceremony and reception overlooking the inlet. As you can see, she looked amazing.
