We have child locks on our kitchen cabinets. Maren figured out that if you just pull REALLY hard over & over again, they'll open. This particular cabinet contains all of our household poison. Great. Back to the drawing board.

(Side note: why does she always look back at me when she's getting into trouble with a big 'ole grin??!!)

We helped host an engagement party for our friends Cory & Jennie. Their wedding is June 5th in Pennsylvania. Maren will stay with Ellen & Jeff for 3 NIGHTS. OMG. I am so upset. How will I make it??????????

I know it'll be a fun crowd...and neat for me & O to take a trip together (first one since our honeymoon!)

We went to Charleston a couple weekends ago to visit with Papa O & Gamma. Maren got to ride her very own Barbie Jeep for the first time. Of course, she couldn't operate the thing, but it was very cute anyhow. Notice how intense her face is in the pictures!

Mom & Dad, El, Jeff, Julia Chase, Parker, Me & O, Maren, and our dogs, Daisy, Marley, Puddin', & Herbie all went out to Lucknow for the day. We had a nice picnic lunch by some of the grape plants. We rode the golf cart around, messed around on the tractor, Dad, Jeff, O, and the kids burned a field. The dogs ran around LOVING being out there & FREE! We shot some guns at a can...all in all a great day.

 Maren & I went out to the farm where Ellen rides her horse on Saturday. We had already had a VERY successful shopping outing and weren't ready to head home on such a pretty day.

It was so calm and peaceful being out there. The property was beautiful: hills, pastures, ponds, the works! Maren really enjoyed watching Ellen handle her horse and just being outside! ( So did I!) Can't wait to go back out there! Thanks, El.

A Word from SICKVILLE

We have ALL been sick here at the Howard residence. It's been 8 days and I SURE HOPE IT WON'T BE 9!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have not left my house since Monday (and we only left then to take the doodle to the doc.) Good news, though: she's weighing in at 19lbs. 11 oz.! Go girl! She's already bigger than I was when I was a year old!
