Time flies when you play Farmville in all of your free time. FOr those of you who don't know about this Facebook game, it is a virtual farming game that I am so addicted to it may be bad for my marriage and mothering. Anyway, for some reason it is relaxing to plow, plant, and harvest virtual fruits, veggies, and grains. It is so dumb that I can't really rationalize why I play the game so often. But I do and I don't plan on stopping.
So my main girl is almost 9 months old!!! (Sat.) She is a real scream these days. She cracks up all the time, which in turn cracks me up. She can get up the entire flight of steps in about 20 seconds. Scary. She's pulling up and cruising around furniture and walls. She's eating tons of new foods-and wants to feed HERSELF, thank you very much. I could not be more pleased with all of her accomplishments over the past month.
Christmas was great. It was a busy day, but we enjoyed all of the hustle/bustle and Maren was a trooper. She soaked up all the love and attention the day brought. She enjoyed the ribbons and wrapping paper the most.
Nana bought her a new crib and bumper pad, which came yesterday and it is beautiful. I ADORE it! Sweet to think that this crib will also convert into her "big girl" bed before we can blink.
So are you guys calling this new year "Twenty ten" or "Two thousand ten?" I vote for "10." Just wondering.
Heading down to Charleston tomorrow for Julie's girl party before the wedding (Feb. 6.) O'Hara will be putting Maren to bed for the first time ever tomorrow night. I'll update on how that goes!
I am pooped out for now, but will do my very best to post pictures and write more next week!
